Welcome

Welcome to The Pentecostals of Southeast Kansas. We are honored that you are taking the time to learn more about our church. Whether you are exploring faith, looking for a church home, or simply visiting for the first time, we want you to know that you are welcome. Our desire is for every person who walks through our doors to experience the presence of God and the truth of His Word.

The Scriptures remind us that “God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34, KJV), and we believe the Gospel is for everyone. Our church family is made up of people from many different backgrounds who have come together through the saving power of Jesus Christ. We invite you to come and worship with us and be part of what God is doing.

What To Expect

When you visit The Pentecostals of Southeast Kansas, you can expect a Christ-centered service focused on worship, prayer, and the preaching of the Word of God. Our gatherings follow the pattern of the early church, which continued “stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42, KJV).

Our services include heartfelt worship, prayer, and biblical preaching that emphasizes the Gospel message found in Acts 2:38 (KJV): repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. You may see people lifting their hands in worship, praying, and responding to the presence of God as described in the Scriptures (1 Timothy 2:8, KJV).
We invite you to come expecting a welcoming community, sincere worship, and a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.

Meet
The
Pastor.

Pastor Jonathan Evans serves as the Senior Pastor of The Pentecostals of Southeast Kansas, faithfully leading the church alongside his wife, Laura Evans. Pastor Evans has a deep passion for preaching the Word of God and helping people experience the transforming power of the Gospel. His ministry is centered on the authority of the Holy Scriptures and the apostolic message of salvation found in Acts 2:38 (KJV).
Jonathan felt a calling to serve God and minister to others early in his life. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to studying the Word of God, preaching the truth of the Gospel, and serving the church. His desire is to see people come to repentance, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost as taught in the New Testament.
Together, Jonathan and Laura Evans are committed to serving both the church and the surrounding community. Their ministry focuses on encouraging spiritual growth, strengthening families, and helping people develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. They are honored to serve The Pentecostals of Southeast Kansas and are passionate about sharing the hope and truth found in the Word of God.
